Traditionally classrooms have focused on teaching preschoolers through manipulating objects, art activities such as drawing, painting sculpting, singing, finger-play, as well as free play outside or in a gym.
The new core standards and the Dept. of Health emphasize learning through movement in the classroom and after this course you will have the tools to create a “movement lesson” for any curriculum. These lessons will have the advantage of incorporating music, props, cognitive and physical challenges, in order to reach all learners.
When you use movement activities to teach, you are directing a child’s natural energy and love of movement into every lesson.
